Tim "Morton" Fry | DJ Vatican© Attorney Extraordinaire
Entrepreneurs benefit from Mr. Fry's large firm training, executive experience and hands-on, cost-sensitive approach.
By way of example, Mr. Fry recently arranged the reorganization of a jewelry manufacturer in the US and Mexico, the purchase of a medical services company in the mid-west, and performed as an expert witness on the valuation of IP assets.
Recognized as expert in the creation and exploitation of entertainment product, he has worked with a wide range of organizations involved in film, music, dance and sports (e.g., MPAA, MPEA, RIAA, Universal, Warner, Sony, Koch/E1, NYC Ballet, IMG, etc.), and consulting diverse entities in the value/use of brands and products, including, e.g., DDB Needham, Philip Morris, Nomura Securities.
He has also excelled as a senior operational executive in the entertainment sector, e.g., as COO of a cable venture formed by majors and CEO of a publicly-traded video producer and manufacturer.
Because of close working relationships with senior executives and artists, Mr. Fry is often asked to represent them in their professional matters, such as the creation, termination and valuation of personal service contracts, and is a recognized expert here. During fall 2011, e.g., he closed agreements regarding the incoming head of marketing at a major motion picture company and for an outgoing senior financial officer at a major book publisher. His personal services work often leads to his becoming the "family" lawyer for executives/artists.
Finally, Mr. Fry has been recognized as a very successful national fundraiser (e.g., repeatedly by Fortune Magazine in its' "Guide to Top Presidential Fundraisers", and by a nationally-known private school).
