RapAttackLives
AutoBio: I was just a fat kid who moved to the U.S. (Seattle, WA) at 10 years old, got picked on & had low self esteem. Until I met my Gung-Fu Sifu Taky Kimura (Jun Fan Gung-Fu Institute) at the age of 13 yrs. old, my self esteemed improved 100%. Taky has been & still is a father figure to me who I love dearly like my own dad. As a kid I always dreamed of coming to the states & make a big & positive name for myself!
It seems like it was just yesterday, "1980" when Steve Mitchell the PD of KFOX gave me my first radio job on KFOX. I was 18 years old.
Prior to that, my dream was to be a DJ on KYAC & share the mic with Robert L. Scott, Cal Smith, Calvin Alexander, Debra Howard, Vivian Philips & Ed Locke to name a few. (remember them???).
Here I am nearly 29 years later & never knew now that I'd be known for being the 1st West Coast DJ to have an all rap radio show, "FreshTracks" on a commercial radio station which debuted in 1980.
I'll never forget trusting my taste in music to be the first to introduce to Seattle artists like: NWA, Run DMC, Madonna, Beastie Boys, Freddie Jackson, Sir Mix-A-Lot, The Emerald Street Boys, MC Hammer, Will To Power, The Egyptian Lover, Rodney O & Joe Cooley, The S.O.S. Band, Frankie Smith, Whitney Houston, Al B. Sure, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Midnight Star, Pebbles, Keith Sweat, Lisa Lisa & The Cult Jam, Full Force, The Fat Boys, Rappin Duke, Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, The World Class Wrekin Kru, Nu Shooz, Vita-Mix, Hall & Oates, Wham, Prince, Kashif, Jermaine Stewart, The Boogie Boys, Force MD's, Ice-T, UTFO, Whodini & the list goes on & on!
It became a reality with my Radio career (KFOX,KUBE,KDAY,KMEL,KCMU). I also became the co-founder of NastyMix Records, I was the RAP EDITOR for HITS Magazine (thx 2 Ricky Leigh),appeared in "House Party 4," "Kung Pow!Enter The Fist," "Purgatory House" & on "ER." I'm featured in Seattle's EMP Museum, the WingLuke Museum & am the CEO of Crazy Pinoy Promotions & RapAttackLives.com!
I love cats & have a 1/2 Pekenese/Shiatzu dog.
